Mr. James Melvin Stanley

Mr. James Melvin Stanley of Covington, Georgia entered eternal rest on September 6, 2018. Service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Springfield Missionary baptist Church, 4606 Springfield Dr. Newborn, Georgia 30056 Reverend Jerry Stokes, Pastor. Interment Springfield memorial gardens. The remains will lie in-state at the church, 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. The cortege will assemble at 2228 Emory St. SW Covington, Georgia 30014 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 , 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  He leaves to cherish his memories to children, Sheila (Donnie) Hurst, Phoebe (Johnny) Williams, Lisa Russell, Renee Russell, James (Sherlene) Russell.  Five stepchildren Trina (Alfredo) Clemons, Patricia Clemons, Marie Clemons, Dexter Clemons, and Willie Clemons. One godson Richard (Minister Cathy) Hardeman. Two devoted granddaughters Jessica ( Neal) Latimore and Jasmine Russell.  Thirty-four grandchildren and forty-seven great grandchildren.  One sister Miss. Nora Benton and two bothers Mr. Ronnie Smith and Mr. Morris Broughton.  One special friend of  fifty years Mrs. Ethel Mae Russell and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
