Mr. Johnny Frank Mathis of Covington, Georgia entered eternal rest on November 6, 2018. Service will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at  1:30 P.M. at  Springhill United Methodist Church, Highway 162 Covington, Georgia 30016, Reverend William Hemphill, II, Pastor, Eulogist. Interment Flat Shoals Cemetery. The remains will lie in-state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. The cortege will assemble at the family's residence at 12:30 P.M. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the life of his wife, Carrie Roberts Mathis; children, Gwendolyn Poindexter, Kathy Bell and Johnny Mathis; sons-in-law, Greg Bell and Will Poindexter; grandchildren, Kavaurio, West, Ivy, Kiunjis, Lamarsha and Ashleigh; great grandchildren, Kavauriyona, Kaydence, Tobias, Ky’ire and Jada; devoted family member, Deactria Mathis and a host of extended family and friends.
