Mr. Willie Curtis Harris, Jr.

Mr. Willie Curtis Harris Jr.,73, of Conyers, GA, better known as “Shank”, peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by family on August 25, 2022.  He was born August 30, 1948, in Covington, Georgia and is preceded in death by his father, Willie Curtis, Sr., mother, Mary Alice (Pierce), wife, Shirley (Robinson), and brothers, Albert Lee and Chris.  He was a resourceful, simple, nostalgic, matter of fact, funny, and loving soul, who always stood his ground.  Though heartbroken, we know that his light still shines in those who survived him.  He is survived by his son, Dexter (Holly) and his beloved grandchildren Durham and Sayward, his siblings, Phyllis and Donald, numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, dear friends and loved ones.  “Shank” worked at Lithonia Lighting until his retirement after 30+ years. He was a southern food eatin’, fish catchin’, barbecue throwin’, grandchild lovin’, leader and friend.  He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel, 1163 Reynolds Street SW Covington, GA 30014. Interment Private.
